❝galilea mckinnon was a waterling; the salt of the frothy sea, the lily pads that dawned the shallow's edge of a weathering pond.❞
this is a girl x girl story between cho and an oc i created (the daughter of lesbian, marauder era couple marlene mckinnon and docras meadowes. her name is galilea mckinnon). these chapters are very short and written mostly in prose.
beauty is rated mature for many reasons. themes such as domestic violence, cursing, depression, suicidal ideation, assault, internalsied homophobia, homophoia, racism, and smut will potentially be visited in this story.
i don't speak mandarin and my italian is good but not great, so, feel free to correct me if you see any mistakes and you speak either language. to be fair, correct me if you see any mistakes in english as well. i'm dyslexic and dysgraphic, and i often make really stupid errors.
this story means a lot to me. it's the first time i've ever written an oc, and it's pretty out of my comfort zone. i usually stick to hp characters only, because i always doubt myself as a writer, but i didn't want to do that this time around.
this story is an ode to cho. she doesn't deserve all the hate she gets, and i was dead tired of writing about mostly white characters. hp, though it's the greatest love of my life, has its faults. i think its lack of diversity is probably first in line.
❝yalong with its lapping briny and its star-filled sky (and most importantly, galilea) was the place were dreams truly came true... never, ever america.❞
Dear Rory,
I'm sorry about what I said.
I'm leaving for LA in two days.
Can we talk before then, please?
We can just drive around as usual.
I don't know how to do this if
you're upset with me.
Call me please. I'm staying at my
parents' house.
Love, Taylor

Aurora Taylor has been living her best life for the past ten years or so. She works for Odyssey, a travel magazine based in New York City, New York, where she gets to go on dozens of trips a year to the most beautiful corners on earth to write articles about her journey. When she's not travelling, she also dabbles in fiction writing, a little secret passion of hers only few people know about.
When the pressure of her two jobs gets a little too hard to manage, she decided to take a week off in a beautiful town at the beach in Northern Italy. A week full of unadulterated fun and relaxation, with unlimited glasses of chilled Prosecco and gelato cones.
Or, so she thought.
Her plans are completely ruined when she runs into someone she never thought she would ever see again. Not in person at least. A ghost from her past.
Taylor Swift.
Thirteen years and the universe decides to throw them together in a random town in Italy.
Taylor does not believe that it is a coincidence. Aurora is a little reluctant to believe it. But thirteen years is a hard number for Taylor to ignore and she is adamant on making things right with the writer who finds it hard to forgive and forget all that was said and done thirteen years ago.

This story is entirely my work of fiction. All characters and fictional places are from my own imagination except for real celebrities. The timeline is not necessarily a hundred percent accurate to Taylor's for the sake of the story and for it to make sense. I hope you enjoy it!
