In the au, Glados is her own person and Chell is her best friend. They have been friends since they were 5 years old. Her parents are Caroline and Cave Johnson. Sadly at the young age if 15 years old, she was plugged into GLaDOS and forgets her memories and her best friend Chell. Some art in the story is mine but the others belong to the original artists! [After all the things that happened in Portal 2] Chell is walking in the path of fields holding the companion cube that came out from the lab. She didn't know what to do since she was freed by GLaDOS. She had her freedom, but after all that, she didn't know what she could do.... she only walked but she didn't know where to go. Subject 3281; Chell's Story
Test. That was what she did, and Subject 3281 did it well. She was the model subject, fit, strong, on time, and most of all... obedient. That's how she was, until one fateful day, when the higher-ups at Aperture Science figured that they could get more out of their testing if two subjects were present, and so launched the "Aperture Science Co-operative Testing Initiative", pairing Subject 3281 with another Test subject. A boy. A boy who forced Subject 3281 to re-think her complacency, to yearn for freedom as they all did. To begin thinking like the girl she had been; instead of the person she had become. ~----------------------------------~ So, I was writing a short story one day, and realized that--with a bit of tweaking--this could turn into a Portal 2 fan-fic! While I do believe that Blue Sky is the BEST fan-fic for Portal 2 out there, and deserves to be canon, I think that this is still a relatively believable Chell backstory. (This is set after Cave Johnson's death, and before Caroline/GLaDOS killed everyone but the test subjects with neurotoxin, and placed Chell in stasis.) Enjoy! This is not a Chelley fan-fic, and doesn't include Wheatley, as this is set prior to the timeline of the first game. I don't own Portal, Portal 2, or the characters in the game; but this story is my own, from my imagination. I also don't own the amazing cover art, and I don't know who does... same goes for the chapter art, they're all either off of Google or Pinterest! 😂 P.S. the first chapter sort of "sets the scene" for the rest of the book, so bear with me!Complete
