Part 1: MAN OF MEDAN

Coming home from therapy, Elaine Marshall finds a mysterious stranger in her home. The next thing she knows, she finds herself in the repository of the man who calls himself "The Curator" and puts her through eight different stories each in a different identity with familiar elements in her life.

She finds herself transported into an unknown boat. Aboard the boat are five strangers, who knew her as Emma Lincoln, a friend of theirs, along with a man that looks exactly like her deceased brother. Soon, they are kidnapped and trapped in a ship that seems to suggest that it is a ghost ship. Could Elaine save her brother's doppelganger this time from mortal peril?

(✔️) Langdon Wilkes is a reluctant - and somewhat bumbling - hunter. But because his father is the headmaster of the Institute of Paranormal Study and Prevention, just as every Wilkes before him, he hardly has a choice. That is, until he runs into, and keeps running into, Wells Hudson and his sister, Naomi. And following a near-death experience involving a vampire, Langdon can't help but be curious about Wells. Even if he clearly resents him. Wells Hudson is a hunter by circumstance. As the older sibling, and with their father driven raving mad by ghost possession, the responsibility has fallen to him to keep the Hudson family business running while protecting Naomi. And the encounter with Langdon Wilkes doesn't help matters. After all, the hunters like him are the ones that put hunters like Wells out of business. Which means he can't constantly be pulling him out of near-misses. But when Langdon's best friend is captured by vampires and Wells discovers a plot devised by the Institute headmaster himself to control creatures through a strange and obscure blood magic, things get complicated. Especially when both boys discover their feelings for each other growing. And they discover the thrill of the chase.
