And so, I told her everything she needed to know. Before I knew it, the words were flowing out of me like water, smooth and natural. Nothing felt more natural than talking to her. Her eyes and ears drank it all up, and for one innocent, cruel second, I forget who we are. How doomed we are.

For a second, as I looked into her eyes that couldn't decide what color they were, I couldn't help but think: what makes you so dangerous?

Why must the girl with eager eyes and open ears have to be my downfall?

Azaria Jhaveri has two goals in life:
1. Help animals.
2. Make the most out of life without a voice. And maybe one day find out why she lost her voice and the first 13 years of her life.

Alpha Ambrosius Castellanos has three goals in life:
1. Make the Aurum pack the strongest it has ever been before his family's curse leads to his untimely death, one way or another.
2. Don't go crazy.
3. Avoid meeting his soulmate at all costs.

By a series of cosmic events, Azaria and Ambrosius are thrown into each other's lives and no matter how hard they try, cannot stay away from each other. Can they overcome years of curses and adversity in order to love each other?
