In the past, the Young Mage's School for Higher Learning used to be the castle of a great phoenix that ruled over vast lands. However, upon seeing the encroaching armies of non-magical men, it sacrificed itself to drive them back and conceal the castle and nearby lands in a fog that allowed only those with magic to enter.
Y/n is a mysterious girl who appeared with almost no background. She was accepted in an audition where she proved to be stronger than most everybody there.

In the future, though, there exists a state of war between the mages and normal humans that has torn the entire world apart. Families tear each other apart, friends hate each other with a passion, and only the strong survive for long.
One super soldier from this time is sent back in time to stop the war from ever occurring by finding out what caused at it where it all began. The school.
