A Legend of Zelda fan fiction. Link Arkwood is Hyrule's greatest thief, but a simple mistake landed him in the castle dungeons. Hyrule's princess, Princess Zelda, offers him a deal in order to get out of his execution, but is he willing to risk his life for a kingdom he doesn't care about? Link was a bit of a problem child when he first started school, all he ever knew was the kindness from his best and only friend, so when faced with other nastier people their age, he didn't react too well. Skip forward a couple years and he's improved. Expressing his feelings however didn't come so naturally to him, so he decided to just... Go for it, in an extremely weird way, and just expect her to get it. He wanted to be nice to people, so he just accepted everything and went with what the other person desired. Two times. Same people. A mysterious spirit shows Zelda a way to see the future. When she sees Link however, she is overwhelmed with mixed emotions. Now struggling with communicating to the Link in her time, she watches him 100 years in the future in secret. Trying to keep up with her responsibilities and relationships is getting to her, but she so desperately needs to know how Future Link's story plays out, not knowing that it will change how she views him in her time. Notes: 1. This takes place before the Great Calamity while Zelda is trying to unlock her power and switches to present time 2. The timeline and theme doesn't exactly fit with the canon LOZ games, but is similar. 3. Your past reincarnations have went through a lot, two achieved his heart, the rest had failed. A twist was made after the era of the Wild, and things became hectic. It wasn't that of the human race anymore. It was told that Hero had lost his lover in the Era of the Wild due to her sacrifice to save his life, thus, in the next era.. You were born to be 'temporary'. Your only hope of living is for him to love you. But that isn't easy. Especially when you two are sworn enemies. - (This fan fiction is entirely different from the rest of what I did. The characters will remain the same, however, the setting will be altered. Link: a rogue troublemaker who steals from village people, flirts with all the women, and tortures the people of Hyrule. Living life the way he wants it, no rules, and not a care in the world. Zelda: a woman who gets tangled with the wrong people and doesn’t know that she was kidnapped as a child and is really the true ruler of Hyrule. She has a split personality where she thinks she’s Sheik, a worrier who fights for good. Ganondorf: the ruler of Hyrule who killed the king for his throne. He knows about Zelda being the real ruler but has kept that a secret this entire time. He also knows that Link is suppose to be the hero of time but doesn’t seem threatened by a rogue troublemaker. This story takes on a whole new twist of the Legend that I created. I do not own any characters, settings, or history in this story. This is just purely a fun fan fiction of the best video game ever.
