Arabella Montague is the daughter of super rich property tycoon Sir David Montague. Plucked from her familiar settled life in Kensington, London after her father has an argument with the headteacher, after her father's decision to put his faith in the American education system, she is whisked away and placed into Bushy Creek High School. She doesn't know what she's here for, or for how long but she is just trying to make it through one more day without anyone picking on her for her British accent and without attracting the attention of Heidi Brubaker, the most popular girl in school and her gaggle of cronies who have taken a dislike to Arabella and want to make her life miserable.
On top of all this, American school life just doesn't seem to make sense to Arabella. Jaden Hausner, one of the most impossibly good looking guys she has ever seen in her life, is considered a dork - Ford Baker, an idiot and a moron to put it kindly, has the entire school falling at his feet.
To make things even worse, when Bushy Creek announces a talent contest, someone puts Arabella's name in, under the talent singing.
Arabella is petrified. And she can't sing.
Could Jaden be the answer? She's got less than two weeks to find out... come what may!
She can't back out
