Orphaned Victorie Beckenridge, a regular, Californian girl from the U.S. inherits an estate in Mayberry, England from her late Grandfather, who was supposed to be her new guardian after her parents died in a car accident, but passed away from heart failure soon before Victorie was to stay with him and her distant cousins. While there, she meets the eccentric girl cousin of hers, Ann Beckenridge, and Ann's adopted-if stranger-brother, Teddy Carter, who were staying with their Great Uncle (Victorie's grandfather) while their journalist dad traveled the world for his job before Victorie's grandfather died. Now, they'll be staying with Victorie and their multiple governesses. Victorie soon realizes there is something off about Mayberry, and the Beckenridge Estate in whole, that she just can't wrap her finger around. Maybe it was the way everyone talked like it was still the Victorian Era when it's the 21st century, or how the gardens in every surrounding estate in Mayberry had only three types of flowers, or even how everyone seemed to think that England was still ruled by Queen Victoria. Either way, something strange was going on in Mayberry, and Victorie is scared to find out what it might be, but curious, too. And maybe, her strange cousins can help her find out the truth behind Mayberry. ------------- The cover picture was found off Pinterest This story is entirely fictional. And what happned when they get visitors from back in time? How will they react to the return of their dead loved ones? Interrogations take place, tears are shed. But most importantly, families are reunited. (I do not own any if the characters you recognize from the books)
