Blue Blankenship saw her mother abducted right off of their front porch on a humid, Sunday evening. Her father was suspiciously unbothered, leading her and her older sister Red to look for answers on their own for years. When the population hit an all time low due to a death threatening virus, Blue's search for clues spiraled out of control resulting in her father's death. Blue, Red, their four younger siblings, and some interesting strangers they met along the way now had every reason to travel across the country in a school bus in search for their abducted mom. With time not on their side, a very limited vaccine that needed to be distributed, an uncontrollable genetic mutation that affected every other sibling, and a corporation hot on their tails, the deadly pursuit began; and Blue hoped they wouldn't leave too many bodies behind them. Sneak peak-- "I couldn't bear thinking she was dead, or being tortured at some underground lab. She's a delicate woman; full of compassion, love, and creativity. She's the polar opposite of my father, whom is a biochemist for the government. My mom was a highly respected artist, who was an equally devoted mother. She decided to name us by all pigments she had used in her most famous painting. Red, Blue, Olive, Mauve, and Topaz brushstrokes all tangled together to create a beautiful masterpiece symbolic of our family."
