A young girl named Annarah is taken from her home by the royal guard. Her father was a knight sworn to protect the prince but died recently without warning. With no brothers, Annarah is the only one who can take his place. Once training is finished, she will protect the prince, but she has other plans. Determined to find out what happened to her father, she sets out on a journey through dangerous forests, sails through the sea, and finds friends and foes along the way.
