Maroon Carlson laughs death in the face, literally. Much to the chagrin of those around her, she has successfully wise-cracked her way through every case. One bleak Monday in Whitechapel, the detective embarks on a game against a hundred-year-old dead murderer. The infamous, uncaught, Jack the Ripper. But jokes might not be enough this time. After all... The devil gets us all in the end.
