It's been a year since Ash left Kalos. Lately, him and Pikachu haven't been their best, and after finding out what Serena had meant when she said goodbye, he's confused emotionally. In search of a way out of his slump, he returns to Alola. Upon his return, he finds that a lot has changed and he meets someone new who weilds a special power that he's never seen before. Little did he know, he posesses this power as well and with it, finds a greater understanding of not only his Pokemon, but the life around him.
Join Ash and his friends as they discover more about eachother's pasts and help one another through both physical and emotional struggles.

After his loss in Unova Ash returns home to regroup and plan which region he will go to next. However while planning his next region, tragedy strikes and his mother dies. to his knowledge he has no other family until one day a familiar visitor arrives offering him a home and revealing a family secret lost for generations. Ash takes this offer and trains his Pokemon for 2 years. Now he is ready to journey out again, this time to Kalos. What will he find in Kalos, will he finally be able to achieve his dreams? Ash has just lost in the Indigo League, due to his Charizard's disobedience. As he and Pikachu are thinking things over by a lake, they are sure in for a nasty surprise. Betrayal. That's what, out of all possible scenarios, Ash never imagined that his own friends and family would betray and even try and kill him. Now though, Ash must rise above this and prove the traitors wrong, starting with redemption. He heads over to the Orange Islands for sanctuary and to start a new journey, a new start was just what he needed, with new friends, new Pokemon, and mysteries surrounding the Pokemon world. But at the end of it all, the true adventure has only just begun... Warning: Foul Language, minor Adult topics, mentions of blood and gore. Not recommended for young children. Serena, a performer that has had feelings for Ash ever since they met at summer camp in Pallet Town a long time ago, reunites with him and helps him take in a crisis in Lumiose City that involves mind controlled Pokemon. Now having to try and get Ash to be himself to be ready for the Kalos League causes her emotional pain and sometimes even physical. Ash has to find himself during his journey in order to be able to take on everything in his way, from his best friend Calem to his Arch Rival Damian... To even his own father. Half Ash and half Alain in the character of Ash Ketchum, there will be a good combination between battle styles and a good amount of combinations between overall personality and maturity. Ash is a teenager by the way! Will Ash win the league? Or because this being his first journey will he fall in the way? Amourshipping is the main ship of this fanfiction by the way!
