Hayden was fascinated by the Maze the second she stepped out of the box.
On her second day in the Glade she goes out into the Maze and kills the first Griever.

Not even a month has passed and she spends the night in the Maze.
After Newt came she decided to explore even more.

But that means that she has to spend more than a day in the Maze in order to find a way to get out.

She made a deal with Alby, her first friend, that her name wouldn't be crossed off. Instead circled. And that she would return one day.

But she spent 3 years in the Maze and her name still lies on the stone, circled.
