It's simple Rainey is dying, and it couldn't have come at the worst of times, just years after the death of her family. There is no cure for what she has and she knows she has a limited amount of time but she doesn't want anyone to know, so she can have a few moments of normal before she leaves.
But normal is far from what she received strange things are happening in Juniper Heights and people that have not been seen before begin to show up and even the new kid who has his eyes of Rain.
