This was her home, she had the first father figure, she had a stable group of friends, a stable job, but most importantly, she had Jay Halstead, the love of her life. He tried to call her, but she declined all the calls, changed her number, and moved to New York. She got Voight to pull some strings to work with the FBI. Little did she know, she was pregnant, and it could only be one person's. What happens when Erin must come back to Chicago and face her old life?

Sequel to 'It Has Always Been You' so you will need to read that one first. Their line of work is dangerous and at any moment it could all be over. Everything they have each fought so hard for could be ripped away from them in the blink of an eye. They wake up every morning, unsure if they will return to lay their heads back down on their pillows that night. They go through life not knowing whether this time will be the last time they see or speak to the ones they hold so dear.
