In the year 2308 where there is a growing conflict between man and machine, one young man promises to protect mankind from a looming war.

Kyle "Maximus" Valentino stands in the shadows, contemplating his fate and the fate of the world. His jet black hair falls across his face as his glowing blue eyes survey the city below. He is a teenage boy with a secret, a powerful secret that could save or destroy the world.

The city is alive with the sound of machines, and Kyle can feel their presence in every corner of his mind. He has spent his life hiding from them, but now he must confront them. The conflict between man and machine has reached its tipping point, and the fate of the world rests on Kyle's shoulders.

As he stands there in the darkness, Kyle remembers the night that changed his life forever. The night when his world was shattered by the mad man who was after him. He remembers the pain and the loss, and he wonders if he has what it takes to face his demons and become the Machine Messiah.

But Kyle is not alone. He has allies, friends, and fellow humans who believe in him and his mission. They stand by his side, ready to fight for their freedom and for the future of their world. And Kyle knows that he cannot fail them.

With a deep breath, Kyle steps out of the shadows and into the light. His glowing blue eyes pierce through the darkness, and his jet black hair streams behind him as he faces the army of machines that stand in his way.

The world may be on the brink of destruction, but Kyle "Maximus" Valentino is ready to fight. He is the Machine Messiah, and nothing will stop him from fulfilling his destiny.

If they are made in our image, surely they will suffer the same trials? In 2078, sentient androids help rebuild a damaged world. Eli, a unique android, struggles to find his place in a world that both fears and covets him as he becomes entangled in a dangerous game of politics and rebellion. Ten years prior, Dr. Randeep Singh races against time to prevent an impending disaster while balancing the demands of a ruthless dictator. As the two timelines collide, Eli and Dr. Randeep Singh are forced to confront their vulnerabilities and limitations in the face of overwhelming challenges. Early Reviews: "Your characterisation of your main cast was expertly done, but the Board wanted to highlight Eli, whose near childlike wonder at his own existence and other life rather paradoxically creates a sense of hope and beauty in the face of such instability." "I was very pleased with the intriguing plot, which was well-conceived and developed, alongside a most fascinating cast of characters. I believe your story is very well-structured and well-grounded allowing the story to build progressively and weave together the underlying messages included in your work, including concepts of control and existence, as well as uncontrolled scientific exploration that are sure to resonate with many contemporary readers" This is not 'man vs machine' - 'Therefore I Am' delves into ethics of class systems as sentient androids are introduced into a brutal world scorched by a world war and ran by a sadistic regime. Narrated over two timelines, this novel is a real page-turner and a hot take on robotic AI. Although this story discusses AI themes; no AI was used in the creation or in the writing process. I wanted this book available to read for free but if you wish to support me you can buy this book in paperback on Amazon in most territories. "It's human nature. It's instinct to survive, no matter the cost." The world has fallen into desolation. The apocalypse has already started and finished, leaving some of the surviving ones with strange powers and mysterious scars. The world has ended, according to some, and is now in a state of rebirth. Others say it hasn't ended yet and that it's only going to get worse. The remaining people have grouped together in packs and gangs, raiding the desolate cities and avoiding the ones called the Destroyers, who capture and torture the remaining survivors. No one is safe. One fifteen year old boy knows this better than anyone. He and his older sister lived together, sticking to the dark alleys of their abandoned city, and survived for years after the apocalypse, until the Destroyers came and took her away, reigning terror on the few who remained in the city. The boy, desperate to find someone to help him save his sister, leaves the city and finds one of the youngest cooperative packs in North America, called the Raiders, comprised of unwanted individuals with the strange powers left from the destruction of years past. Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. "Maybe there's more to life than just surviving." ... Rated C for Caution. Though it's rated mature, there is no bad language or vivid descriptions of sexual contact. It does have very strong themes. Please read the two important notices in the intro. Read at your own risk. Thanks. WATTY 2019 WINNER Hale, a state of the art android, can do nearly anything a human can. He cooks meals, cleans and organizes the house, repairs broken appliances, and runs errands. He can even provide for the more carnal needs of his owner. None of these tasks should present any challenge for Hale, and they don't-until he meets his next door neighbour, Rayner. Rayner seems like an unassuming gardener, but he asks Hale a lot of questions. Does Hale wish he could smell or taste food? What would he look like if his appearance hadn't been chosen for him? From the moment they meet, Hale runs into errors in otherwise simple tasks. He experiences bizarre sensations that none of his diagnostic tools can explain, and struggles to appease the people in his owner's social circle. As the errors in his programming begin to wear on his owner's patience, Hale faces the most difficult decision yet. If he can't evolve to meet her needs, he'll be returned and recycled into parts for future androids. If he does evolve, is he still just an android? Or something more? In all this, Rayner is the only man who can help him, and Rayner only has one question left for Hale. What does he want? Hale wasn't designed to want anything, but perhaps he can find the answer in the man with all the questions.
