Arknights : the broken fate by DrSilentDevil

We all know the story of Arknights or at least a part of it, we know the story of reunion and Rhodes Island and how it all ends, but what if that was not the end? What if an outside force intervened and changed the unchanging fate of not only the reunion movement but the whole of Trrea forever? This is a story about a universe where such a thing happened and about the broken fate of the people living in it. A new, deadly disease is spreading, and although necessary precautions are put in place, the nations don't show much concern. That is, until it's revealed they aren't immune to it either. A special quarantine is organized for the nations who have fallen ill as researchers around the world attempt to find a cure. Those trapped inside the quarantine suffer from pain, loss, and even madness as they are reduced to that of mere humans. This brings light to them as they realize what it is like to be mortal.
