It starts off in China in 1937, Legoshi is serving his country, Imperial Japan and as the 2nd Sino-Japanese war carries over to the 2nd World War Legoshi watches as his country that was once leading to victory, plummet to the ground.

Remember when beastars was simple? When it didn't turn into a shonen-ninja-mafia-esque thing? If you enjoyed that simplicity then you'll propably like this fic. It's set before Legosi meets Haru (by this point it's basically an au where Haru doesn't exist), and it will not touch on any of the manga plot points, so there are no spoilers.
