For Heather Osborne, life hit her too hard. She's only nineteen, living in a tiny apartment in New York City, she's on the verge of being broke, and receiving little pay for her job as a waitress. If her best friend Marisol didn't have her back all the time, then she'd probably be with the rest of the homeless people on the streets. She's almost ready to give up, until she meets Emmett Brady. He always comes in the diner when she's working and he always acts like he's happy to see her. At least that's what everyone else thinks. Everyone thinks he's into her. But Heather doesn't want to be sure. She's too afraid to be sure. Little does she know that everyone is right.

The Most Important Thing: We've been friends for over a decade. We laugh. We drink, and we get raunchy, even though by now we are also moms. We meet as often as we can to share the ups and downs of our lives. We trust each other. And if it were up to me, we would be this close forever. The Subject: My best friends are happily married. But every marriage could use some work, right? Candace, a hard as nails business owner, tolerates her husband so long as he does as he's told. Miriam, a loveable homemaker, adores her husband Bob, even though he snores like a bear. Energetic Lucy needs her husband to act like a grownup. The Experiments: Me? I am Jenna, and I have really good ideas about how to get what we want from our marriages. With the right technique, I am confident that we can train our husbands to service every need, with a smile. What they don't know won't hurt them, right? Lesson Learned: Sometimes the experiment doesn't go as planned and sometimes you learn something you didn't know you needed to know.
