Paul, or as he discovers at the age of 18, Akaryū Dragon'aite (Afton) Purūtō, realizes that the place he had born in, is not the actual place he supposed to be in.

After being 18 years in dark, an accident made Purūtō turn into an Animatronic-Human hybrid. The close death experience made him recall the memory sealed away from him. Not being able to sit in place anymore, he understood that he won't get to know a thing if he'll stay in place forever
