Brightpaw, a new apprentice, is already having a bad couple of days, -and that's before her Clan disappears overnight.
She is haunted by the previous battle withBreezeClan and though she had just received her apprentice name, she is stuck doing tasks meant for kits!
But back to the disappearance of her Clan:
Confused, Brightpaw wants to go to the other three Clans for help, when she realizes she doesn't actually know where the borders are, since her training had started only a sunrise ago.
Brightpaw has only one way to find out what happened. She must start walking and hope that she can find the other Clans. Along her journey, Brightpaw meets quite a few interesting cats, -a former kittypet named Trixie and her older brother Shadow, a loner named X, and a pigeon-brained outcast named Ripple.
With the help of her new companions, can Brightpaw figure out what happened to her Clanmates, how to bring them back, and get her warrior name at last?
Meanwhile, Dawnstar, the leader of DuskClan wakes up in an unfamiliar surrounding with only three of her previous Clanmates; Thistlefang, Tigerlily, and Flowertail. The four of them must find the rest of their Clan, but how?
