Delia is the second daughter of Mrs. Bridgerton. She is not what you expect to be of a young lady who is about to be presented to the Queen and enter the marriage market. In fact, she is far from it. But that doesn't stop her from being herself and enjoying her life. She agrees to pretend to be in love with the Duke of Hastings to help her sister get more suitors. And so her wish is granted. Suiters start to fill her house, giving her all the attention, that she does not want, but her sister also gets some and that is enough for Delia. She finds herself being pulled right into the middle of attention, which she hates. Then a certain prince visits London and lets his eye fall on her sister. When she knows that he will ask her sister to marry she meets up with Simon and the agreement is broken. The agreement in which they swore to not fall in love with each other, but soon they realize that they both broke that promise. However, the promise she made to her father haunts her and prevents her from doing what she thought she never wanted.
