The Hunger Games became history and almost forgotten until they televised another Game to run for the purpose of selecting a president for Penem. Charlie was Reaped along with a boy both from district 12, Charlie the daughter of Gale Hawthorne and Rye the son of Katniss and Peeta Mellark ban together in order to win the next Hunger Games. The Games is more daring and filled with more dangerous obstacles than ever before. Two teenagers bring together two best friends after years of speration all due to the Hunger Games. Can the games heal the wound between two friends and yet keep their children alive all at once?

In a dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided into 12 districts and the Capitol. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, rutal retribution for a past rebellion, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors while the citizens of Panem are required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss' young sister, Prim, is selected as District 12's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. 16-year-old Aspen, Katniss' best friend, is selected as District 3's representative.
