First book in the Against the Stars Trilogy

When Virginia "Ginny" Miller moved from England to the Americas in the 1775 she expected a fresh start. All she wanted to do was put her life in England behind her. But when she arrives at America, she never expects what she finds.

Arriving in America, Ginny is shocked to find that her only friend, Abigail Everhart, has abandoned her. Alone, in a strange new place, Ginny cannot help but wonder what is going to happen to her life.

When Ginny befriends Benjamin Eby, the son of the owner of the general store, her life finally takes a peak for the better. Along with another new friend, Celia Roser, Ginny begins to see all life has to offer.

But war with England is looming and lines are being drawn. Ben and Celia both are patriots well Ginny's parents are strict loyalists and disapprove of her friendship with Ben. And to make matters worse Celia, is from an English family turned patriot, something Ginny’s parents are horrified by.

Desperate, her parents try to get her to befriend people like Lucy Winslow, or (heavens forbid) Bella Kersey, who come from “good English families”. But it isn't till her parents start introducing "gentlemen" into the picture, that Ginny realizes how truly torn her heart is.

Ginny is stuck trying to figure out how to live life with all its up and downs. She feels as though her soul is being ripped in to. Should she follow her parents, and be loyal to the country she once called home; or should she become independent like the country her heart is rooted in?

Subject Me To Life [Book One] ✔️ *EDITING* by ViennaXo

BEFORE YOU READ- DISCLAIMER! The main character is blunt, hates life and is very vulgar and hateful towards everyone and everything . However there is a reason for this. She is strong-headed and short-tempered, ill-mannered and disrespectful (though some may say in a loveable way). If this isn't for you, then I wouldn't suggest reading this book. It's about character development and personal growth. - Kody Lawrence is not normal. On the contrary, she's everything but. When the hot-headed, short-tempered, rude new girl arrives in the small town of Raven Hollow, Maine, most people are put off by her unexpected and -considering her horrible attitude and pessimism- unwanted appearance. However, despite her constant locked jaw, clenched fists and cold glare, Lilah Johansson, Kody's appointed 'buddy', can't help but want to be her new friend in spite of their not-so-impressive first impression. But Lilah is not to be sold separately, and with the friendly redhead comes four boys with charming smiles and welcoming arms that hide their own secrets and covered-up lies. Amongst the group of five, Dakota Black is the one who stands out with his calculating eyes and kind heart, and while Kody has no intention to stick around longer than a few months, he might just be the one to change that. With a duffel bag of money, a box-filled with different identities, a pocket full of problems and a closet stacked to the brim with secrets, Kody's quiet and peaceful Senior year takes a couple of unexpected turns. The only question is: Are they for better or for worse? ___ (Small disclaimer: The first few chapters aren't the greatest, but I took some time off from writing this book and came back to it when I'd gotten a bit better with writing, so if you can get past the rocky start, hopefully you won't regret it). ___ Re-published: 7.4.18 (7th of April) Finished: 9.3.20 (9th of March) Currently editing and correcting mistakes / plot holes. I am posting the first four chapters of my book The Girls of Charity here on Wattpad. The full book can be purchased online. I always make sure to disclose that even though I work long and hard hours on all my books that they are by no means perfect. There are mistakes from grammar and punctuations. The Girls of Charity is my first self-published book and when I wrote it, I didn't have a great program on my laptop to help me make corrections as best as I possibly could. However, this version, I am pretty sure, is the revised edition I had resubmitted last summer but however more-than-likely might have mistakes also. I apologize in advance if you feel you have wasted your time and or money on my works. Thanks
A Royal Rebellion by RachelWritingBooks

The secret seemed to be etched across my face, the words "traitor" branded on my forehead. I wondered how everyone would feel if they knew what I'd just done, if they knew the treason and danger I'd just committed myself too. If they knew that the helpless girl in the pink dress was something more than a background character. ... It's 1776, and the Revolutionary War is in full swing. Everyday men fight and die for their country on the battlefield, and people grow poorer and poorer everyday as King George continues to tax the colonies. But while civilians drop like flies, nineteen year old Rose and her family are safe in England and as close as ever to King George and his obnoxious daughter Princess Sophia. Rose has a life that one would dream of; endless money and luxury, marriage offerings from every suitor in town, and the privilege of having the royal family in the palm of her hand. Except there's one flaw to Rose's perfect life: she hates it. While everyone else is jealous of Rose's wealth and luck, all Rose wants is to return to her hometown Virginia and get away from Princess Sophia and her minions. But then Rose meets Fiona. She's leader of the Shadow Group, a group of overlooked woman who sneak information from the British and send it to the colonies. Desperate to escape her living nightmare, Rose joins and her luck starts to change. Soon she's secretly attending meetings and flirting information out of her chosen suitor to help her hometown; until the ultimate betrayal tears the group apart. Will Rose make it out of Britain and live the life she's always wanted or to persevere her family's reputation? Or will she crumble under the King's careful thumb and break free forever? It's time Britain realized that it's not just the colonies ready for a rebellion. COMPLETED

A lively, yet dark and polemic retelling of the American Revolution through the unapologetic eyes of women and soldiers in the British Army, a two-time finalist in the Faulkner/Wisdom Literary Contest for the Novel and Novel-In-Progress categories. Something very different on a familiar subject. 1776 - America in Riots. Civil War. Crush it. And when finished, give the damn Americans what they want. So comes the great army, and with it, his Majesty's personal host, the Brigade of Guards, to fight a war they cannot lose. They bring their women. Obedience Gill, the "handsomest Woman on the Ration", loses her soldier husband on the crossing to America. Good riddance. "Obedience", her father named her, a child of the Great Awakening and "an Age" at 24. In truth, she's running, having lived many lives. And now, in the midst of a fierce army, she's alone. God, to be alone, even in this alien country. This strange America. This roiling, boiling America. But someone's after her, a Coldstream grenadier, Thomas Elliot, with a murderous past. In her past. To her protection comes guileless man-child, Geordie MacEachran, Third Guardsman, whose loyalty is to the Guards above all else . . . Until Obedience. And he's struck, as sure as a Rebel ball to the heart. In New York, Obedience, a tavern singer with an extraordinary voice, is noticed by the officer class, and by talent, luck, and wiles, experiences a meteoric rise, to her fame, to her peril. Geordie seeks to hold her. Elliot wants her life. But Obedience has other plans as the American rebellion fulminates into a global conflict to threaten Britain's very existence. War, sex, and power. Enlightenment and religion. Racism and sexism. Military tribes.

*NO sexual content* "Who else knows about this place?" Hazel asks looking over my gaming system while Abby looks adoringly at my books. She is a major reader just like me. "Caydon, Dad, You, Abby, and I." I absently say while going through my mail. One in paticurly catches my eye. I have not a clue whom it's from. All it has on it is my address. Hmm, guess that one will get opened first. I pull out a business looking folded piece of paper. I turn it around to see that it says: 'For Sophia-Grace James's eyes only.' I look around to see Abby reading a book in one of the bean bags and Hazel playing Call of Duty: World at War on the Xbox. I unfold the paper to read what it says. What I read makes my blood run cold. Dear Grace, I know you are wondering who I am, I promise that you will find out soon enough. I want you to meet me Thursday, July 8th 2012 by the baseball field, behind the concession shack closest to the woods at 9pm Come Alone. I will know if you are or not. -Fury -------- Grace is your typical popular American girl, or so the rest of the world thought. She has been through more problems and drama than the average inmate in the local prison. -Witnessing your parents being killed. Check. -Thinking the murder was put away for life. Check. -Learning to fight like a pro. Check. -Learning that the people you though you knew so well aren't exactly who you thought they were. Check. This book is filled with more drama and problems than an episode of Pretty Little Liars and Jersey Shore combined. *Check out the trailer on the side made by Happiee*

Aurora Velasco fled from a life promised to her: an entire empire on a golden platter. Despite possessing the skills, power, strength, and knowledge to rule, she never wanted the throne, not with the risks. Yet, her people will stop at nothing to see her ascend as their empress. Determined to escape this fate, she runs relentlessly, evading all who pursue her. Then she meets him. Marcellous Di Capo, a notorious and ruthless Don, becomes obsessed with Aurora after a one-night stand. Known as the devil incarnate, Marcellous is accustomed to taking possession of what he desires, and Aurora is no exception. The moment she holds a gun to his head, challenging her destiny, she becomes his obsession. Little does he know, the woman behind the mask is his worst nightmare. - "We are going to play a game, my sunshine," he murmurs, his hot breath trailing along the side of my neck. His hand finds my heated pussy, clutching it with just enough force to remind me exactly who it belong to. My heart stutters, my breath falters, and all I can feel is the searing heat of his presence. His lips hover dangerously close to my ear. "One where I fuck you recklessly, without mercy, and you won't make a sound... because if anyone around us hears, I will punish you." *** This book is unapologetically intense, filled with a few graphic violence and explicit content that explores the darker sides of humanity. It's not for people who shy away from brutal, unfiltered storytelling. If violence and sexual themes make you uncomfortable, this might not be the story for you. Proceed with caution- you've been warned. #1 in Spy: October 9, 2024 #1 in plot: January 17, 2025
