Emily has just returned from her months undercover in France, but the things are definitely not the way she left them before faking her death. Her best friend, the only one who had been close to her even miles away, is no longer her best friend, and her man is no longer her man.
(In this story before emily's fake death, she and Hotch were dating, and he didn't know Emily was alive and safe in Paris.)

This story will contain scenes of sex, torture, bad words, miscarriage, drug and alcohol abuse. If you're not okay with this, don't read.

Everything Happens for a Reason - Jemily
ANNOUNCEMENT: I wrote this in middle school. It is bad, and I know that. I am so sorry to those of you that read it (I can't even bare to read it myself) 😭. If you do read it, I hope the cringe is...entertaining? It is not technically "complete" and I have no intention of ever rounding the story out, for that I am sorry. Thank you (as of June 2025)! JJ and Emily have always had their secrets, and even though they are best friends, they have some from each other. When they are called to New Orleans to assist with a series of hate crimes, JJ has to face the detective who will never stop hitting on her. In an effort to deflect him, she had to pretend to love someone else, and that person was Emily. After Hotch orders Emily and JJ to go undercover to help catch the unsub, they both start to wonder if their pretend actions were more than pretend, and if their relationship is more that just a friendship. disclaimer: most of this is from criminal minds; including characters, some quotes, and some elements of plot, cases, & settingComplete
Don't let go - Emily Prentiss x Reader
You and Emily met at the BAU when she transferred back from Interpol after Hotch had hired you a few months before. You fit right into the team when you joined, and naturally developed a great friendship with Emily when she returned too. But that friendship quickly developed into a little something more, and although you'd agreed to keep it secret from the rest of the team, it was getting harder to hide how much you cared for each other, especially when one particular case puts you right at the forefront of the team's investigation. This fanfic will revolve around y/n having mental health issues, and whilst the relationship with Emily will play a large part in the storyline, I want to keep it as realistic as possible so y/n's mental health problems will continue throughout. For the purposes of this story, Emily's return from Interpol is the only reason why she's left the BAU, the Ian Doyle storyline has not happened yet. (This story mentions various mental health topics including depression, anxiety, eating disorders (restriction and purging), self-harm and suicide. Please don't read if you think it'll trigger you, and please reach out to someone if you're struggling.) Smut warning - chapters with smut involved will have '*' in the titleComplete
Temporary -An Aaron Hotchner Story-
When a case goes horribly wrong for Interpol Special Agent and Criminal Interrogator Dr. Alessandra Reid, she's put on temporary medical leave and ordered to stay in D.C with her younger brother Dr. Spencer Reid. There she meets the team and reunites with her old friend Emily Prentiss who leads her towards Aaron Hotchner; their stern-faced and very attractive unit chief. A steamy romance ensues as the two try to bury their sorrows and trauma with each other. *I do not own anything except for my original character* *Soft Hotch*Complete

Stolen Glances
After a long career in the FBI and Interpol, Emily finally got her dream job at the BAU. However it didn't start they way she wanted it too. She had no idea that the next few years would turn out to be both the best and worst of her life, with newfound family, her past coming back to haunt her, and the most unexpected of all; love. - A slow burn Hotchniss fic. Near enough episode to episode from season 2-6, until we go AU. Current Trigger Warnings: - canon violence, gore, serial killers, murder -discussion of abuse/child abuse - discussion of teen pregnancy/abortion - discussion of rape/non-con (I will keep this list updated as anything new appears, there will also be clear trigger warnings at the beginning of chapters that require them!) Follow me over on Tumblr @hotchnissonly for updates! Cross posted to Ao3 @Hotchnissonly - I do not take credit for the characters or main (canon) story lines that will be covered -
