Raven is misunderstood. She wears black clothing, doesn't like vanilla boys, and doesn't have time for them, either. But when her devilish step-brother, Hemlock Serpent shows up at her private school unannounced, she begins to feel... things are starting to turn up. But then she realizes he has a secret, one that is unforgivable, inexcusable, and completely uncalled for. She quickly slips back into her dark depression, unknowing if Hemlock can help her out of it again. Her therapist, Dr. June Langsten helps Raven by giving her advice to write her experience of what unfolds in Raven's last year at Rosewell Thorn Salem Private High School--or RTSPHS--but Raven has other plans on how to cope with her trauma.
