People say many things, some good, some bad. People deny many truths, and believe many lies. People, are ruled by their ignorance. Why would someone face the truth if believing the lie is so much easier? Why make life harder than it has to be? Why not let the fake shade of deceit shield you from the harsh light of reality? Why resist the tempting pull of ignorance.
Ignorance is easy.
Ignorance is comfortable.
Ignorance lets you sleep soundly at night.
Ignorance is... bliss.
Right?
So many people, fall into the iron grasp of ignorance. So many, fall prey to its melodious song. It is only those few who refuse to wear the mask of ignorance, and instead stare through the veil of reality. It is only those few, who see the world as it really is.
Kill or be killed.
Control or be controlled.
Rule or be ruled.
Be strong, or be weak.
Naruto almost fell into this trap, almost fell prey to the warm embrace of ignorance. He was so close to shutting the blinds on reality, to letting the truth of the world elude him.
