Emily Prentiss is a retired vet who lives in Black Valley. A small, rural town where nothing really happens. She owns Em's Bar where she works with her two army buddies Hotch and Derek. 

Her best friend Spencer lives next door with his mom. They've been friends since they were kids. 

The town mayor Dave Rossi is her father figure. He's everyone's father figure in Black Valley. Penelope is the towns gossiper but everyone loves her for it. 

What will happen when a JJ, a city girl, is hired to be the new Doctor and she meets Emily? Will Emily reveal her past to JJ and Will JJ tell Emily why she ran away from LA? Find out in my new book!
