Beginning takes place before the events of the Serpentine Wars, during Chen's young teenage years.
    During a reluctant visit to the Library of Domu, a young Master Chen comes across an old book describing a powerful tribe of purple-scaled Serpentine, the Anacondrai. Hoping to harness the Anacondrai's dangerous power, Chen sets out to recruit servants. However, Chen's story takes a turn when a young man wielding godly powers comes knocking on Chen's door, wanting training from Chen.
