Alyx was a 16 year old male, and his 'state', if that's what you wanna call a huge, walled town, was preparing for something.
Something huge. A scientist with unknown files had made a syrum to turn a human into an immortal god.
But it went backwards instead.
It turned people into various shaped and sized zombie-like creatures.
Which fed on humans.
And Alyx had been training in the military, specifically made for fighting those things.
After a year or so, he made it to the Military Scouts, which would exit the wall on mission kinda things.
And risk death.
The creatures ranged from 5 meters tall to around 40 meters tall.
But after a month of priests continuing to admire how the wall would always protect them...
It stopped protecting them.

A teenager tried to keep most of the kids safe and hid them well, making sure they were safe with mothers and fathers who had already suffered losses of their own children being taken and enslaved. At the start of the government taking over, a group of people was forced out of the city due to their ignorance, according to the government that is.
