Izuku otherwise known as "Deku" was an average kid until he had his "Quirk" manifested. After the incident, he was left and shunned by society for having a "Villainous" quirk because of the circumstances in which it was manifested. Especially by hero's and their offspring. Although being shunned by society he was not insane he had cats to talk to.
