26 year old Aubrey Dawson finds herself living an ordinary, mundane life as a lawyers assistant in the heart of Atlanta. After deciding she needs a much needed vacation she heads out into the wilderness for a good old fashioned camping trip, right in the midst of the world ending unbeknownst to her. She soon finds herself face to face with the monsters that now inhabit the earth, her attempts of survival she stumbles upon a group we all know too well. Join us in this adventurous story about a young woman trying to find her place in this new world of both the living and the undead. With new friends, enemies and potential lovers this journey will certainly leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what's going to come next
This is my first Fanfic so please be patient with me and if you enjoy it awesome! If you have any constructive criticism that is always appreciated but if you set out just to be rude then guess what... I could give two__. I will try my hardest to update as often as I can.
I do not own any of the rights to the walking dead only to my OCs and original content I add to it.
I will be sticking to the main story line as much as I can but will be adding in a few filler chapters to enhance my own storyline for this already amazing story.

In a world overrun by the dead, survival isn't just about skill-it's about trust. Amara Hangings and her best friend, Henry have relied on each other to make it this far. Whenever they are captured by a group, they cross paths with a stuck-up, crossbow prick named Daryl Dixon. Henry sees danger in Daryl. Amara sees something else. As they fight through this new world, an uneasy trust begins to form. But in a world where attachments are a risk, letting someone in could be the most dangerous choice of all. For Daryl, survival has always been black and white-until Amara proves that sometimes, the gray areas are worth the risk. ------------ This roughly takes place in the beginning of TWD. I changed the plot a bit to fit in more Amara x Daryl and to make more of a new plot while keeping the basics of the TWD season 1 plot. In this Daryl is late 20's- early 30's. Moving to Atlanta, Georgia, a few months before the apocalypse hit them as well was really not on the list. Meeting Dale right away helped until the breakout, you were lost with two duffel bags full of your stuff and your cat until he led you to his camp. The anxiety of being in a new place, only two people who made you feel comfortable which were Amy and Dale, surviving the best you could with trauma weighing on your shoulders when the Sheriff came, he couldn't take much of an interest in you since his wife and best friend hated you, then you realized there was someone else who also didn't fit in that caught your eye when you first stepped foot on the dying grass. *Spoilers for The Walking Dead!
