After they got pared up to be parents on a project, Carl and Riley became close. They did everything together. Riley's life is shown in a spot light and it's not as perfect as she portrayed it to be. Carl fights the urge everyday to say something to Riley's mom, but she begs him not to. Hopefully one day she has an escape, and Carl hopes he is that escape.
