Once upon a time, in a faraway land,
Lived a handsome Prince and a beautiful Princess.
They lived in a shining castle,
And had everything that their hearts could desire.
The Prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind,
The Princess was caring, loving, and generous.
One winter night, a poor woman arrived upon their door,
She offered the Prince and Princess a single rose,
For shelter in return.
While the Prince sneered,
the Princess attempted to sway her brother's mind,
But he turned the beggar away.
The old woman warned him not to be deceived by appearances,
The Prince dismissed her once more while his sister scolded his cruelty.
Then the haggard woman's appearance melted away,
Revealing a magnificent enchantress.
The Prince tried to apologize, but it was too late,
For she had seen that there was no love in his heart.
And as punishment,
He would die at the hands of her wrath.
But the Princess begged for her brother's life,
Offering hers in place of his.
Since the fair maiden had shown her kindness,
The magical stranger granted her brother a lesser punishment.
She transformed him into a hideous beast,
And placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there,
And cursed his sister into an eternal slumber,
Ashamed of his monstrous form and his failure to protect his sister,
The beast concealed himself inside his castle,
With a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world.
The Rose she had offered,
Was truly an enchanted rose,
Which would bloom until his twenty-first year.
If he could learn to love another,
And earn her love in return
By the time the last petal fell,
Then the spell would be broken and his sister would awaken.
If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast
For all time.
As the years passed,
He fell into despair, and lost all hope,
For who could ever learn to love... a Beast?
A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
