"See some people, like you Dieter, bleed honor and valor. That is why your wounds are for your own good. They purge you of the ridiculous notions of heroism."

"What about you?"

Dain simply raised an eyebrow.

"Right," Dieter replied, casting his gaze to the harsh stone ground. "You don't bleed."

The unknowing blade.
The commander made of fool's gold
The man with the world on his shoulders.

Odyali has fallen and Tenedal has won. That is where our story begins.

Ami, a private in Odyali's White Army, discovers that she is a Daughter of the Sword and the last ember of Odyali's dying fire of hope.

To hone her power and become the weapon her country needs Ami and her band must travel far, fleeing from Tenedal's army and the pasts that just don't want to let go.

But the longer they take the further Odyali falls. Perhaps not even a girl with victory running through her veins is enough to save Odyali.

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of the Creeping Bam (BOOK 1: The Job) by BrenGrigori
31 parts Complete Mature
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Ten thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed - its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they're still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They're also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn't yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn't even know is coming ... IMPORTANT: Please note this story includes content that may be considered mature, such as moderate battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. A Song of Flame & Shadow - Eris x OC

68 parts Complete Mature

Vel, an Oracle older than Prythian itself, visits the Autumn Court at the request of its High Lord. While there she gets swept up in the court's political scheming, with Eris trying to win her favor using any means necessary. But all is not what it seems and her visit is cut short by a bloody betrayal. Now, alone and afraid she must escape Autumn and get back home. - Perhaps she'd misjudged him and he was actually going to slice her open. Vel decided she wasn't going to stick around to find out. In the blink of an eye, she squeezed her palm between the blade and her neck, scraping most of the skin off in the process, and with her other arm she elbowed Eris in the stomach as hard as she could. The dagger clattered to the floor slick with her blood and Eris released her, stumbling a few feet back. She turned back towards him, palms up. Blood was pouring down her left arm, dripping into her sleeve. He'd already produced another dagger from Mother knew where and was about to throw it at her face. "Wait. Eris. We want the same thing. We could work together if you would just trust me." Eris narrowed his eyes at her. "Trust you? Do you genuinely think I'm simple?" he hissed out the words, trying to keep his voice low. "You want me to trust you when all you've been doing since you got here has been sneaking around and spying on us."
