A Bitter Cage // Kunizai, Bungo Stray Dogs

13 parts Complete

"Coffee was a grounding scent in Dazai's life. It was dark and calm and sharp at the same time, twisting into a warm comfort. Every morning as he set up the coffeeshop he saw his hands stop shaking. He always woke up trembling those days, but the smell of the coffee beans he was grinding up helped him put his thoughts aside." Dazai Osamu was trying to rebuild his life. Grief had wrapped itself around him, a scarf that refused to leave. He hadn't asked for Kunikida to come walking into his workplace and start dredging up both Dazai's pain and his past. One never truly moves on from the mafia. There is always a ghost to pull the heart back.
