Hazel is a sweet girl from Alabama that has come to Florida to learn to surf. After a year she is an Allstar. She was a natural talent. She puts so much effort into her surfing skills that she doesn't worry to much about what happens in the media (besides Taylor Swift; she is dedicated). But, when she's about to enter a surf competition against a certain boy, she can't help but wonder if she will fall for him or not. Will her heart take her to a happy ending? Or will she crash under the tension?

Suddenly, her world is mixed up - literally - when she is transported to a strange land and left with no choice but to join a magical academy despite her own lack of magical powers. Slowly but surely, she gets used to her new life and even manages to find a few friends of her own. She finds a new routine she does not want to overturn. Destiny has other plans. Why can she not help but get involved in the other dorms' affairs? All she wants is some semblance of normality.
