Joshua Clark is the school's best basketball player. He has everything: money, friends, good grades, and best of all... looks. One day, his friends made up this girl, Candyapple, to be his girlfriend. They say she's real, but they won't tell him who it is. When Theodosia, a girl in his class, stands up for him to his friends, an unlikely friendship blossoms. When Theodosia's life begins to fall apart, Josh is forced to re-evaluate his feelings.

"I woke up in a sweat. Sitting up, I looked over at the clock. It was 2 a.m. My heart was racing as it hit me. That was Dosia in my dream. She was Mystery Girl. I had a brief moment of panic before I stopped to tell myself, 'hey, that isn't the worst thing in the world'.
It was true, having a few dreams here and there wasn't the worst thing that could have happened, and it wasn't like I had a crush on her or anything.
I shook my head to clear the thoughts running through my mind, but I couldn't stop it. I kept going back to the dream and thinking about kissing her. I groaned as I tossed and turned. The sheer idea of calling her 'baby' was enough to leave me a smiling, blushing mess.
As I laid in bed thinking, a wave of realization swept over me.
"Oh, my god... I like her..." I breathed."
