It seems like they are trying to stay as far from each other as possible, but that becomes a problem when they're forced to work in the same group at their time at a school camping trip. So having an overprotective father, Taka keeps his relationship with Mondo a secret and often sneaks out of the palace at night to see him. Planning to wait til he's king so his father doesn't send Mondo away. But someone caught them and reported it to Takaaki and...he punishes Mondo by having him sent out to sea to where he can't get to Taka, thinking the kid was manipulating Taka for personal gain. No matter how much Taka begs, Takaaki tells his son is decision is final and that it's best. So Taka sings the song in the video, for the next two months, hoping Mondo will return, which he eventually does after a while. And with Taka now heavily guarded, Mondo tries to find a way to get to him. Meanwhile so evil person, because antagonist needed, is plotting to kidnap Taka and sell him off. And it's soon reveal, that's who told on the two So it's basically turns into a battle of who gets to Taka first.
