Rita becomes strict with her eating, everyday the number of calories she eats gets lower and the amount of time she does cardio gets higher. She practices of managing her starvation by distracting it and never catches a break on the scale. Nobody is aware of it, it was something Rita doesn't want her friends or family to know, hiding her body from them didn't last long. Her mother noticed the dramatic weight change on her body. She tries to help her get back to her eating and tells her many times that she's "perfectly skinny" but nothing works. Her mother puts her foot down as Rita started to get ill, her mom takes her to a mental health hospital. She deals with consequences from her nurses and other patients.

You know that feeling when you feel like you want to kill yourself? Not out of sadness, but out of hatred? That's the feeling that I've felt my entire life. Everyday, when you look at the clock and you just see the seconds hand slowly move around the clock. When it'd just stop raining and you see the raindrops fall slowly off the wall. Sometimes when you're just sitting in class and you blur the whole world out and think. The life of every high schooler. Sometimes the world is just so terrible and annoying, you have no other idea than just to commit suicide.

There's your normal, my normal and our normal. Life will never be normal. Normal is impossible for mankind. There is no such thing as being normal. You have ordinary days in your life you might consider that normal. I thought I was normal, I found out I'm far from normal.

What is real? I know what I saw and experienced, but THEY say it isn't real, that it never happened. THEY say that I'm here for my own good. Who are THEY? Why do they get to decide? I'm so tired I just want to go home...how can I go home?

Then all of a sudden you're stuck, and you get sent away to recover from the battle you've been fighting for so long.
