A few years prior to the attack on Shiganshina, Levi Ackerman, who is on an expedition, finds a young girl caked in blood on the verge of death. Levi, curious on how the young soul ventured outside the walls, picked the kid up and took her back into the walls with him. Not too long after this event, Levi realizes that this little girl isn't that much different compared to him, so he grows quite attached to her.
