Never talk with the residents of the past. Never make connections. Never influence changes or interfere. Never stop the time of anyone but yourself. Only ever do your job. Just pop in, and pop out. Never linger. Yvette knew the rules of her job inside out. It had been pummeled into her as she was raised by her triad of aunts. Her ability to slip through time was a blessing and not to be abused. She could only find information to bring back to the past, to secure items that held no meaning. And, first and foremost, she couldn't give anyone but herself immortality. So, when a man she had never met before enters her shop, claiming to be five-hundred years old and to be her lover, Yvette realises she had royally screwed up. Or had yet to. This was a mess waiting to implode and one she is desperate to fix. But, as she traipses through time and meets this man over and over, she begins to realise sticking to the rules was going to be very difficult.
