Almost a year after Russia, Beth Harmon returned to her bad habits. Drinking, smoking and ofcourse iridium. She pushed everyone away that she knew and maybe most of all, Benny Watts. With the little determination to live she has left she tries to rebuild bridges with her friends and lovers. And of course this doesn't go without ups and downs and a lot of chess.

I fell in love with the queens gambit a week ago and literally ordered the book right after, because I'm not ready move on from this serie yet. I immediately fell in love with Benny Watts the second Beth walked up those stairs where she met him. ofcourse Benny wasn't the endgame and I wasn't happy about that so I started to write this fanfic. I hope I'm not the only one who ships benny and Beth over Townes and Beth.

So they begin to share, compare and debate the boys. After a long Tournament over a glass or four of Rose Beth and y/n decide that maybe they can go a little further than just trading boys for an evening and decide to just have their way with their favorite Benny Watts. All three soon are thrilled with this often arrangement but the arrangement keeps changing and improving until the girls begin to realize that... the sixties are coming to a close and the seventies are on their way, Maybe it's high time the girls... had a little Revolution.

However, Benny finds he is unstoppably drawn to her impressive outspoken nature and the two begin a friendship that as time goes on turns soon into something more, but with hormones, chess, school work, bullies, family and changes that come with maturing and becoming adults these changes both welcome and unwelcome are what have to be done to truly become who they are meant to be.

Notes: This came from a lovely Tumblr user who gave me the concept for this I saw the post about it and knew it was the Witches duty to create this for my little bubbles this holiday season, Now originally the post didn't have a reader character involved but I did one because I find it much easier to write for that way.
