This is the journal of 16 year old Maven Gael, who lives in Cock & Key Alley in the 1300's when the Black Death hit London. This journal is based on the real events in Cock & Key Alley and the Gael family is fictional. Other characters however, such as Margaret Porteous and Rebecca Andrews and Lawrence are real people that lived in Cock & Key Alley and unfortunately died of the plague.
