"The war was over. We had won the war. But really, who ever wins in war? Sure, Voldemort was dead. The wizarding world was safe from his torment and torture. But at what cost? Families were ripped apart, muggle and wizarding alike. Never to be whole again. The war around us may be over, but the war within will rage on forever. Forever to mourn the loss of those close to us. Forever to mourn the what-ifs and distant daydreams of what could have been. The days leading up to that fateful day will never leave me. The choices I made, the choices I believed to be right, have dictated the outcome of the rest of my life."

"I forgave the world because it had you in it." .... "I couldn't forgive the world because it had you in it. You didn't deserve that world, and I don't deserve your forgiveness." I was unsure how to respond. I was hurt. I knew I had to let him go. I knew that for my own wellbeing I had to let him go. But deep down, I knew I could not. I knew I would never shake whatever hold he had on me. I had forgiven him and would always forgive him.

Draco Malfoy: cold, distant, ignorant, rude, arrogant, and above all else, downright gorgeous. Juniper Hartley: caring, intelligent, unfathomably sweet, and above all else, downright gorgeous. As their paths cross unexpectedly and his mind bewildered with reasons he can't explain as to why he can't stop thinking about her, he's forced to examine the possibility of letting someone in, to sharing emotion with another person other than his thoughts. Dark times lie ahead in their future as Draco's family demands Death Eater, but his soul demands something, or someone, else. What lengths would you go to keep the person you love most safe? ________________________________________________ "I do believe such a place exists," he nodded, "and if we can't find it I would build you that white Tudor cottage with the stained glass windows, right on the edge of evergreen trees so that when the fog comes in the early morning, the air will be full of mist that carries their evergreen scent into that meadow full of flowers and grass." Draco spoke quietly and swiftly as if he could plan in his mind exactly how it would be, as if he could simply pick it up from his thoughts and place it in her hands so it could be her reality. A Malfoy

34 parts Complete

Draco Malfoy and Emma Dawlish attend Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Emma is almost always a straight A student and she is forced to work with Draco Malfoy to get his grades up. They become friends and their own friends try to keep them from each other, which fails. "Draco, Don't" is Emma's key saying. It represents good and bad. After the war, the teens have to go back to school for another year. When Draco runs away from his home, he wants to stay in the shadows at school. Emma already knew part of the real Malfoy, can she unlock the rest of it? What happens when she starts to fall for A Malfoy? *********** "I'm not the good guy." "I didn't say you were," I wanted to say something to comfort him. "I just said I know you aren't the bad guy." Draco only laughed and hid his head in his hands. "Dawlish, you can't fix the world." "But I can try." I replied steadily, looking at the guy I have known for six and a half years. "And I will try, Draco."
