Olivia Embers has been waiting for this her whole life. 

The Piston Cup championship. 

For years, all she's ever dreamed of was winning - to be the youngest female racer to succeed in scoring the trophy. She's dedicated everything to make it possible, and she's trained with the best. It doesn't help that her rival, Lightning McQueen, appears to charm his way into her life all so suddenly, or that her sister Sally is making her life a living hell.

For her, it's just out of reach as the last race ends in a four-way tie. And just after, a scary event turns the tide, one that could possibly end her career. Now, she returns to her home, Radiator Springs, with Lightning McQueen in tow. But after an astonishing three-way tie at the Piston Cup race, he has to push himself to prove his worth. But things don't go according to plan. A crazy night out with his friends, an old rickety town forgotten by Hell itself, and a whole bunch of legally binding repairs stops this racer in his tracks. He must find a way to get free and back into training. He has a race to get to and a spotlight to catch - he simply WILL NOT let himself be forgotten...Not like this 'almost dust' town on Highway 66. *** This story is 'human-bent' all characters have been turned human and in order to make that possible a lot of things have been altered and some scenes changed to accommodate that. You'll also find that I added some completely new scenes - some to deepen characterization and others I added just because I like them from other movies (i.e. Cars 3). *** Obviously I own none of these characters (at least not in their car form;) and most of the plot line and dialogue, all those props go to Disney & Pixar.

I've been taking notes on the key details in the movies that are helpful and have done research on things that might have the movie if they were humans, the words in the story maybe different but it's still the same thing. Both Lightning McQueen and the reader are now 23 and 22 years old. The movie takes four years later after the first movie.
