Adam Galloway is a famous detective, known across the land for his charm and wit. He's well aware of the fact that he's only made it this far because he was able to marry rich so you don't need to remind him. Most often he investigates suicides and finds a way to convince the grieving families that it was an unfortunate accident.
Now after the death of his darling wife, he feels empty, lost. He's thrown himself into his work and drinking. Life is cruel and short and at the rate Adam's going, it's only getting shorter.
