29 parts Complete I felt my mind drifting back to Xavier, what on eath had happened to him. As I climbed upon the ledge I found myself speed dialling Cole. He answered on the first ring.
"Remember, like a year ago, we were talking about death, existential crisis and whatnot and I was unable to give you an answer as to what death is like for me?"
He hummed along. It was always so easy to talk to him, I would miss that.
"I think death is freedom. From the burdens and struggles from life. Death isn't giving up, its simply surrendering to the inevitable."
"I get where you're coming from," he continued. "Death is simply a factor of life, part of its cycle if you will. But we also have to live everyday like it is our last. We owe it to them at least, the gods, for giving us life."
