You've been friends with Dean since Freshman year, you two bonded easily but when it came to his little brother Sam, not so much. You and Sam always made fun of each other and never really talked other than about a case or what to eat for dinner.
But that all changes when you're out on a simple salt and burn with the boys and instead of waking up in a motel bed you woke up on the ground, in a forest. Sam found you sitting at a nearby lake after he had woken up there aswell. You had been all around the area but there seems to be a border; a 5 mile radius that surrounds the lake.
You and Sam were alone in the woods, being forced to get along.

After all, being gay wasn't a good thing to be at his school. He would constantly get mentally and emotionally abused by his classmates. Two more years, he kept telling himself, and then he would graduate and get a degree in fine arts. When the new English teacher, Mr. Winchester, shows up Castiel immediately takes interest. During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker. Dean throws himself down a hole, and Sam is becoming increasingly worried about about Dean so he seeks out help from from another angel to see if they know anything about the whereabouts of Castiel. Castiel is lost he doesn't know where he is or who he is. He just goes where his feet take him. He never eats or sleeps but he doesn't he have to, he doesn't know why he doesn't eat and it doesn't bother him much cause it would just slow him down. He remembers nothing about Sam or Dean or even himself for that matter, but something is itching at the wall in the back of his head trying to break through, it wants to get out but can't. He gets fragments of things every so often but they are of pain and torture and a redhead he doesn't know the name of. One day a pleasant memory comes through the cracks in his wall he can't place where it came from. The only thing he knows is he needs to find the man with the stunning green eyes. He had his old uncle Bobby there as a father figure but he lived three states away, making him hard to see often. Now both brothers were quite lonely despite the girlfriends they both had. Dean had Lisa, a women who has short term memory loss. Sam has Jess who was getting sick with fevers from left and right. Both Winchester boys were sick of all of this work. Dean with having to deal with taking Lisa out on first dates almost every week to try and spark her memory. Then Sam constantly in the hospital because Jess was burning up. They also had to deal with there jobs, the older one worked at his mechanics shop, the younger was a lawyer. Now both were planning on spending Christmas alone. Dean in the shop and Sam in his library. Christmas was never something they could get into, everything was just too canny.
