In this society, Dolion is in control of thoughts, actions, and emotions. The Mental Cage is where he brainwashes people to do and think whatever he wants them to. When it's your time, you are kidnapped by the government (The Untouchables) and taking to the secret Cage to be "corrected." He has separated children and parents and Lisa and Auden spent most of their early teens trying to figure out a way to meet their parents again.
